1984 - "Victory", by the Jacksons, was released. Epic Records set a record as two million copies of the Jacksons’ "Victory" were shipped to stores. The album became a hit and was also the last album of The Jacksons as a group.It was the first time that such a large initial shipment had been made.

1988 - Michael's single "Dirty Diana" from the "Bad" album become the 5th consecutive single to peak at #1 on the Hot 100.

The feat made him the first artist to have five #1 singles from one album. The hard-rock song was written by Michael & co-produced with Quincy Jones; features guitar solo by Steve Stevens. Michael is featured in The Guinness Book of World Records as the artist with the most number one hits in the 80's!
